Yeah, even with a dedicated ATA-133 PCI card (Mac have 30/60/100  
internal buses only) it would take nearly 7 hours for a full 50 GB  
Blu-ray disc!  Still, having all that capacity on 1 disc would be  
great.  For overnight backups, it's very feasible.

Future Apple-supplied Blue-ray drives in Mac Pro will probably  
utilize #5 and/or #6 SATA ports.

BTW, anyone know the spec'ed transfer rate corresponding to the 1x  
speed of the medium?
