Indeed.

Anyway, I think Apple will allow for third-parties to do apple- 
approved software. This has been said by Jobs  in one of the  
magazines online (newsweek). And for sure, they will allow  
thirdparties to buy these things to do vertical stuff.

Now, for vertical stuff, I think there's nothing better, more easily  
deployable and maintainable than a good web based app. I think making  
apps with the iPhone Safari in mind — in terms of resolution and  
interface — is enough for 99% of the market to successfully deploy  
web "2.0" applications in any company and industry.
