No Third Party iPhone SDK

I think the beauty of all this - iPhone "OS X" and Mac OS X sharing  
OS X (whatever that may be) - becomes apparent when you think of all  
the code that Mail.app on Mac OS X and Mail on iPhone OS X can  
share.  Obviously, very little (if any) of the user interface, but a  
large proportion of the rest of the code *could* be good to go on  
both platforms.  That's could help Apple big time bring quality code  
and apps (like Mail and Terminal and Chess and a whole lot more) to  
the iPhone quite easily and without much duplicated effort.  I don't  
think Microsoft can do anything like that.
