Hedging their bets ...?

Howdy All,

I just noticed on Apple's iPhone pages that although they refer to
the iPhone in the text, the main logo is:

ð iPhone (or "<apple> iPhone" if that doesn't come out right).

They specifically say "Introducing ð iPhone"

I wonder if this is Apple hedging their bets with regards to Linksys
and their iPhone and their recent lawsuit(s).

Apple could trademark "ð iPhone" but then just refer to it informally
as iPhone, in a similar way to Microsoft Word, which is usually just
referred to as Word.

Of course, it could just be them trying to get the Apple logo in
there somewhere. It is (I think) suspiciously missing from the
"home" screen (although it is on the back of the iPhone).

That said I don't believe it is on the "home" menu of the iPod (and
iPod nano) either.

Cheers,
Ashley.
