Just saw someone on JavaLobby mention that:

"Apple has been hiring J2ME developers. It would be odd if they hired  
them and they sat on their thumbs while Apple rolled out a mobile  
platform."

I'm not sure what else Apple would use J2ME developers for (besides  
target practise and perhaps cleaning the toilets ;-)?
