iPhone's OS X <-> Apple, Inc. - Other Possibilities

For a device like this (or the iPod), I hope not.

I wish, however, that Apple would set up a certification lab so  
developers could submit software — with a clear set of guidelines  
available — and get it approved, authenticated and whathaveyou. Just  
like Nintendo and GameBoy games.
