not to chide, but that's a good illustration of the value of 
incremental backups

otoh, at one point i got tired of iTunes corrupting its database, 
so i started adding tags to the comment field to record any 
track's membership in a "list"; i can now easily recover 
playlists even if i have to completely reload my library (which i 
haven't had to do for quite a while)
