recording directly into iMovie: separate video/audio source ?

If I want to record directly into iMovie, is there a way set the  
video source to my camera and the audio source to an audio interface  
(firewire)?  As far as I can tell, iMovie doesn't provide me with  
source options for audio as does QTPro.

I can do this in QT Pro , but I'd prefer to go directly into iMovie.

Does anybody know if you have control over audio and video sources  
(separate) in FCPro ?
