I'm not sure if this is in any way related to your issue with Lotus,  
but I have some reports of users here using webmail not being able to  
download attachments via their browsers. I always thought it's an  
issue with Safari (the browser most commonly used here) or the user  
him/herself, but now I believe this calls for some testing.

I'd rather have Mail.app not showing images too, or a switch to turn  
it off at least.
