Plugged in my iPod Shuffle this morning and got the following alert:

The iPod "???" is synced with another iTunes library.  Do you want to  
erase this iPod and sync with this iTunes library?

An iPod can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time.  Erasing  
and syncing replaces the contents of this iPod with the contents of  
this iTunes library.

If I select "Cancel", it ejects the iPod.  Apple should consider that  
customers may want to just manually manage their music.  I have a  
similar problem with iSync.  It seems that Apple thinks that you  
always want to do a bidirectional sync when I just want to update the  
contacts on my phone (not an iPhone) from my Address Book.
