questions about iCal in Leopard

Hi,

I just upgraded to Leopard and I have 2 questions about iCal:

1. I like to display "mini months" along the left side of the iCal
window. Under Leopard, the default seems to be 2 months -- the
current month and the next month. I like to see as many as will fit
in the window, which in my case is 5 months. Also, I like to start
with the past month rather than the current month. I can not figure
out a way to have this viewing preference persist under Leopard.
Whenever I quit the app and restart it, I'm back to only seeing the
current month and the next month (along with a bunch of wasted space
with nothing in it). My preferred view was saved after quitting iCal
in Tiger (and before). How can I get this to work in Leopard, or is
this a bug?

2. In iCal under Tiger, there was a button on the bottom right of the
main window which toggled the Show Information panel to open or
close. I always left this panel open. When I wanted to see
information about an event, I could just click on that event and its
information appeared in the Info panel (which was already open). If I
wanted to change any settings for that event, I could do so right
away. Now under Leopard, the only way I can see information about an
existing event is to double click on the event. This brings up a Show
Information balloon that hovers near the event to which it
corresponds. If I want to change any settings, then I have to click
on the Edit button. This is several extra steps. I found that I
could drag the balloon and drop it outside the iCal window, which I
hoped would convert it to a panel that stuck around, but no such
luck. Is there a way to always have an information panel open and
ready to edit?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Gregg
