right after reading this email, I switched to a Safari window that had  
a youtube video embedded and running ...  all  clicking on my newish  
MM stopped working ..  i can use my trackpad no problem.

So, beyond the scrolling issues, there are software issues as well.

I can fix the clicking problem by rediscovering my bluetooth device  
(mouse).
