No, as an individual, you can do whatever you like to your apps. The  
thing to be mindful of is writing and publishing a tool that boasts a  
certain feature without any knowledge about what sort of user is  
downloading it.

Advanced users can do as they like. Casual users may make decisions  
(such as downloading and installing certain apps) that make their  
computer act strangely without understanding why.
