Logic Pro 7.2.3 is broken (can't export audio to movie). ( I
explained that in my email on this).
QTPro 7.2 is broken (doesn't recognize MOTU 896HD firewire interface
and other audio interfaces). ( I explained that in my email on this).
iMovie is all I need to do what I do ... and iMovie USED to have EQ
and REVERB. (that was stated as well -- we USED to have access to
Apple's audio units in iMovie 6).
I would buy Final Cut Studio 2 "yesterday" if I knew it to solve the
problem, but when I attended the recent FCStudio seminar here in
Seattle (the one Apple has been taking around the country), I was
told by 3 Apple reps at the seminar that they didn't *know* if you
could capture directly to disk using an HDV camera and a firewire
audio interface. ie: bring in separate sources to disk in real time.
A friend of mine with FCStudio 2 tested this for me when FCStudio was
released, before QTPro 7.2 came out, and he said he could not capture
and define separate sources. He's going to check again today --
however, he has a USB audio interface.
Again, I couldn't get an Apple rep to confirm one way or another. If
anyone on this list using FCStudio 2 can confirm that you can indeed
capture to disk and define independent audio sources (firewire) and
video sources (in particular, an HDV camcorder), I'd appreciate it.
