audio effects in new iMovie '08 - what's to become of Logic Pro ? what about a truly integrated media authoring environment?

iMovie doesn't let you do this but you can with QuickTime Pro.  You  
can record a movie that way with separate audio and video sources.   
That lack of functionality frustrated the heck out of me with iMovie  
for years.  I frequently record things like weddings, church  
services, etc., and for years wished I could have taken an audio feed  
right off the sound system and into the camcorder.  Now, I can.  And  
it works beautifully!
