A few questions I should not have to ask....

Well, I just tried it and it worked.

1. Close all your Finder windows.
2. Open one window and change the view to list view.
3. Close that window.
4. Open a new Finder window and it will be in list view as will each  
additional new Finder window you open.

Just tried it again to make sure and it worked.
