upgrading dot mac to full membership

that was only part of my email --

on the SURFACE, you can't quite draw that conclusion ..

but when you actually FOLLOW through the instructions (as I described  
in the rest of my email), you do the following (according the  
directions to convert an email-only address to a FULL membership):

When I log into my .Mac (full membership), I can see my additional 4  
email-only addresses.  I'd like to "convert from an email-only  
address to a full membership".

The instructions to do so are as follows:

- Log into .Mac.  (log in with your email-only address)
- Click the "Join now" link.


When you do log in with your email-only address, you can see in the  
upper left corner showing the current user logged in, text that says:

"Enjoy the complete .Mac.  Join now (a link), or
get a .Mac Family Pack (another link), or
Logout (another link)"


When you click "Join Now", you are asked for
First Name, Last Name
Current email address

if you provide the .Mac email address you are wishing to upgrade, you  
get a REPLY saying :
"Please enter an email address that is not .Mac"
