Big Copies keep failing

2 suggestions...

just use a backup program, mimmac, synk, and syncupX come to mind, but
there are many more out there.  backup programs are made for this sort
of stuff.

the other suggestion is to use a file manager like mucommander.  i
would think mucommander would do the trick just fine.
