 From my browsing / reading, the impression I got was that Apple is  
still undecided about whether they will be removed from Leopard or  
just turned off (meaning you can turn them back on if you wish), but  
that they definitely would be deprecated in Leopard,  and removed in  
a later release (10.5 or 10.6) if not in Leopard.

Sounds to me like they are going away.
