Except that, like someone else has pointed, Apple machines have
higher quality standards in panels, lamps and color engine.

I was in a press event with Samsung a few months ago and they talked
about the difference between their LCD TVs and Sony's. The panels are
in that case exactly the same, they are all manufactured by Samsung
with Samsung technology. Sony only has a stake in their LCD venture,
but the koreans are ahead in LCD technology.

The difference between Samsung and Sony are their color engines and
retro-illumination. And the Samsung still are better than the Sony's,
even when Sony has a better marketing with the Bravia (still riding
the Trinitron wave).
