Yeah - I know. That's why there are many of us (not sure how many ,
4 ? :-) who would buy a Core 2 Duo, AE_n mac mini and dedicate it as
the living room or studio PC and who are not buying the AppleTV due
to its limitations as a media center. But I realize, the AppleTV is
not meant to be THE media center, but rather, a conduit from one or
more media sources.
That said, there's a LOT of content that FrontRow doesn't like to
vend .. or content that requires too much hassle before you can
actually view the content.
Sure, there will be those who are happy just being able to vend
FrontRow supported movies or music from one computer or another to
AppleTV ... fills a small (?) niche, I suppose.
I may end up buying both a Mac mini and an AppleTV, but I won't buy a
mini with AE_g when the AppleTV has "n" support.
