I've seen an HD broadcast of an NFL game on a 42" plasma. The person
I was with was quite happy pointing out the quality of the image.
Yes, it was a lot sharper picture. That said, I couldn't suddenly
see things of any import that I hadn't seen before. Yes, there was
more detail, but that's all it was, detail. After I watch the BBC/
Discovery Channel Planet Earth on my 1600x1080 flat panel maybe I'll
change my mind. DOn't go holding your breath though.
Detail for the sake of detail is not a compelling reason to jump on
the HD bandwagon.

I'm not sold on it. Certainly not enough to encumber myself with all
the crap that HDTV brings with it (the draconian DRM abilities of the
broadcasters, primarily.)

"There's a light that shines on everything & everyone. And it shines
so bright - brighter even than the sun". That's what Minnie thinks as
she walks to meet her brother, who is nearly two years older, on a
Saturday night. He's DJ-ing at some do on the edge of town on the
night that Minnie Timperley died.
