i built an On My Command plist file (which i've sent to Kevin - 
others on request) using AppleScript to assemble a kml file as 
described in my previous message; if someone can figure out how 
to make Google Earth fly to this location, please chime in

an alternate approach would first use some other tool to geocode 
the selected address (can this be done in the background with the 
Google Maps API?) and then use SetViewInfo from the very limited 
Google Earth AppleScript dictionary to fly to the location as 
lat/lon
