French dictionary

I think the original request was not about spellcheck but about a  
French equivalent to the Oxford dictionary that one can access when  
right-clicking on a word.

I am not aware that there are such plug-ins on the market, although  
some dictionary apps may have services that trigger a dictionary  
search with a keyboard shortcut.

There is an epwing reading dictionary (kotonoko) that does that. I  
use it with my Japanese dictionaries. With French dictionary data  
converted to epwing maybe the requested behavior could be emulated.
