with all the talk of Core Image, Quart Extreme and Motion, one 
might think so, but what about PDF and typography? these are 
fundamental OS features where Apple's technology has been 
puzzlingly weak, and which would have to be a lot better for an 
Apple product to compete with Photoshop in the publishing market; 
continue to ignore publishing (and xplat, and all the plug-ins), 
and Apple might have a chance at some other segments of 
Photoshop's market ...
