.Mac mail servers today: keep asking for password

There are 2 of us with .mac accounts here (on the US west coast),  
and, weirdly, one of the accounts seems to have this problem  
constantly (in fact, it's offline right now), and the other far less  
often. Even the well-behaved account craps out often enough for .mac  
to be a ripoff, though.
