.Mac mail usage

[Google Kreme]

My .Mac mail accoiunt has 105 messages in the inbox.  None of the  
messages is over 40K, and most of them are under 10K.

The trash is empty, as is the Junk.

.Mac tells me the mail is using up 7MB of storage.

Needless to say, I am a bit nonplussed.  Where is all that space  
being used?
