Mac as a Gaming Platform?

Ambrosia Software's RedLine, SketchFighter, ... Pangea Software's
Nanosaurus II, Bugdom 2, Ottomatic, Cro Mag Rally, ... Along with
various Flight Simulators etc.
Some can be played ok / well with the keyboard but I think the kids
would prefer (and it is easier) to use a controller. This is
especially the case if one wants to play two-player (we have two of
the USB controllers).
I think Apple should do to games controllers what they did to remote
controls - innovate and simplify! I wonder what a Mac game
controller would be like?
