I think that's only true in the sense that Adobe can layer any custom
code it needs to on top of what Windows provides. That code has an
impact on the Mac version.
I don't think there's any question that Mac OS X's built-in media
processing APIs vastly outstrip what is available in Windows XP. I'm
not sure how they compare to Vista.
