(Full disclosure: I'm acquainted with the two Box employees who have
participated in this thread, but I have not discussed it with either
of them and I don't know much about the company.)

Yeah, I was wondering where the heck the list-moms were, and then I
noticed this is macosx-dev, not cocoa-dev. I guess this list is more
tolerant of "drama."

What I saw was a one-sided story with an oddly bitter and self-
aggrandizing interpretation of events, and a degree of emotion
disproportionate to the experience he describes. Mike seems to think
that having written a few apps should make him a shoo-in for any job.
I'm surprised he bothers interviewing at all, especially for a company
that deals with the "corrupt" fashion industry.

Part of me agrees, providing the "special knowledge" is presented in a
sane and civil fashion, and bearing in mind that companies are
generally not free to give their side of the story. Part of me would
prefer that discussions of this sort be held elsewhere.
In the end, I guess it's up to the list owners.

But from what? From corrupt brain-leeching Belgian fashionistas?

I know what you mean. :)
