Extracting and Converting snd resources

I had tried using Supercard and Revolution, however they couldn't open
the stacks. I'm also considering moving this to the iphone so i need
to write in cocoa. I looked at SOX too, but I couldn't get it to
compile for Darwin OS X nor could I find a precompiled one. Although
it handles the SUN .au audio files and its variants (.snd) it isn't
the same as the snd resource file aka System 7 Sound - which is
unfortunate.

It's funny however, I did try to get QT to handle the snd resource but
it kept mucking up. As a side note, the QT player doesn't open a legit
system 7 sound file from the Mac OS 7 system sound set - so I just
assumed it didn't support it at all! However I will look at the http://developer.apple.com/qa/qtmcc/qtmcc16.html
and see what I can come up with, after all it was achieved in
FileJuicer. Its not a major issue that it can't be in 32 bit, unless
apple decide to drop 32 bit carbon support in a future release of OS X.

Thanks
Louis
