Printing vs Cocoa Autosave??

I'm kind of grasping at straws, but are there strange freezes or  
crashes in my NSDocument-based application when a user prints to PDF.  
He originally reported that this happened in documents he had edited,  
so I'm wondering if it might be autosave kicking in during printing.  
It looks like printing is handled in its own thread, and it's  
possible something not thread-safe is happening?

Has anyone else had problems along these lines?
