Sort-of on the same topic, has anyone here played with a Drobo?

How well do they compare to the other RAID options that you've played  
with in that price-range (~$US500)?

I've just had my first disk failure in one of my LaCie Big Disk  
Extremes, and rather than replace it with yet another Raid 1  
enclosure, I'm thinking about getting a Drobo instead. My main  
concern being that it will be connected to my AirPort Extreme Base  
Station, so I can't use software RAID.
