Boot problem last for the morning

Boot the installer from a working machine while making sure that the
working machine and non working machine are connected together via a
firewire cable and the non working machine is booted in target disk
mode. Follow the installers instructions until you get to the step
where you are told to choose the installation location, at this point
choose the Firewire disk which is the non working machine.
Installation should now proceed without issue, when the installation
is done the non working machine should now have a working
installation.
