Install question

I'm starting way too many threads...sorry about that.  I'm not going to 
be doing it again for a little while, though.

Quick question, in case it comes to this.

If I take the host Mac, and boot with the install disk for 10.4.x (the 
Macbook DVD), then boot my target mac as a firewire disk (the system 
that's having problems), will the non-problem host with the 10.4.x DVD 
see and install to the firewire-mode Mac?

They're both Macbooks, one is the black model and the other is a white 
variant, so I was thinking the install DVD should work properly since it 
would detect it's running on a Macbook that it was shipped for (it is 
for the problem system, but would be inserted on the working MacBook; 
the one I'm having trouble with is having problems also with the DVD drive).
