ServerAdmin Tool no longer accessible

I seem to have this problem almost every time I use Update from
within Server Admin. My workaround is to use the terminal connection
to reboot the server, which always fixes the problem (although it is
always a stressful moment waiting for it to come back up!). I assume
that somehow the reboot after an Update does not work correctly for
some strange reason.
