Yeah, that's my initial suspicion as well, as it is a Belkin piece of  
crap.  However, it is a powered hub and other than this printer/ 
scanner I've not had trouble with it.  Of course, it mostly has  
USB1.1 devices installed on it.

I'd love to replace it, but the local store (Microcenter) only has  
Belkin hubs, and I don't know what brand to replace it with, which  
makes shopping online for one difficult at best.

I wish the Mac had more USB ports.  5 is simply not enough, even with  
a wireless keyboard.

2xUSB hard drives, USB headset, Trackball, Card reader, UPS, 2x  
printers, iPod...
