Display colorsync profile remains unapplied?

Just through observation. We have many custom profiles, some very
distinctively "different" than the norm (for outdoor lighting
conditions, etc.). So I ran tests setting the second monitor to such
distinctive profiles, and after mirroring, there is no apparent
change; it retains the distinctive setting. Are you seeing something
that is different?
