I believe it's done to encourage Chris to try to change his ways. He's
stopped doing it as much, but from 2000-2003, on these very lists,
Chris Murphy was constantly posting this kind of post. He was
practically polluting the lists (-admin and -talk) about how MacOSX
wasn't "ready for prime-time".
While politeness should always be encouraged, after seven years, some
people no longer should expect it.
Anyway, we're both off-topic and neither of us is in any way a list
official, so we should both sit back and harumph a little and move on.
