CLI Recording

Whatever tool you use would be what has the specific command line 
interface and options. So depending on which tool you use will depend 
on what command line interface options are available.

Do you mean a "shell", like bash, when you say CLI? In that case the 
command invoked will be the command of the  audio tool doing the 
recording.
