Mounting a local Vollume via AFP

Steve,
It was Stéphane's suggestion of smb what lead me to SharePoints.
Anyhow, now I'm wondering why you can't share the same directory as
AFP, if I recalled right SharePoints allow to enable both smb and afp,
so I'm wondering why you can't use the afp share from the second machine?
