small switch recommendation

Hi,

Last week a close lightening put my 10/100Mbit/s Allied Telesyn AT- 
S24 switch into a "retard" status.  The signs are that ports 5,6,7,8  
are up although there are no cables attached there and Appletalk is  
not routed anymore, so I am unable to print to my networked  
Laserwriter 600 from any of the 8 Macs I have at home.  Warranty gone  
about 3 years ago, so I am wondering what small - and cheap - switch   
you guys are recommending having about 16-24 ports.

P.S.  I reset the switch without success and also pulled the power  
cord twice without success, that is it is still in "retard" mode.
