We are seeking a Mac System Admin to manage clients and servers in a
university environment.

Job Description:

This position is responsible for installing and supporting all college owned
desktop systems, including multiple servers, computing labs, faculty and
staff offices; revisions to web pages; managing all print resources and
supplies within the college, including the management of the CoA Print Shop;
collaborating with the Director of Architectural Computing properly
integrate client software and hardware with server software and hardware,
and to identify and implement new software and hardware technologies. This
position will be required to hire, manage and train 12-15 student workers.

With a few exceptions, the College of Architecture is standardized on MacOS
X. Experience supporting and troubleshooting of modern (USB/Firewire) Apple
hardware and compatible hardware peripherals is required and some hardware
repair experience is preferred. Experience using and supporting MacOSX
client and server is required. Experience using Radmind, NetBoot, Sassafrass
KeyServer, BootCamp and Windows XP is preferred, but not required. Learning
to provide limited setup and support for Windows XP workstations will be
expected. Experience with supporting and maintaining printing devices in a
mixed media environment is desired. Experience with design environments and
print production workflows is desired.

Experience installing and troubleshooting the following applications is
required: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Microsoft Office, and
Maya. Experience updating and publishing web content is required. Experience
installing and troubleshooting the following applications is desired but not
required: Dreamweaver, VectorWorks, SketchUp, Maya, AutoCAD and FlexLM.

Requires graduation from a four-year college or university and two years of
experience in Macintosh computer support or an equivalent combination of
education and experience.
