It probably does, but in a too subtle manner. The two following lines
are subtly different, for instance:
$ sudo make install
# make install
If you need to rigidly follow the Linux instructions, just type the following:
jearle at mantaray$ sudo bash
root at mantaray#
Then, you'll be able to break your system as needed.
