Is Netinfo unstable in 10.4.9 or .10 ?

Hello Nat!

I have what seems to be exactly the same problem; Mac Mini, 10.4.10, every
so often it responds to nothing but PING. I do not reboot (it's a remote
machine); rather I just wait, and within an hour or so it's back. The system
log shows just the messages you quote.

Have you found anything out?

I tried to send this message some days ago, but there was a delay at the
MacOSX end; new posts have appeared. Wrt to the latests posts about the
lookupd hang... I have that problem on a different machine (PB17" 1GHz PPC
laptop), and so am familiar with it; and I usually reboot to fix.
Interesting point tho' is that the Mini (above) =fixes itself= after about
1/2 hour (varies). I do not reboot.

Also the Mini is remote, and no-one is using it eg for web-lookups (one of
the rumoured causes of the lookupd problem).
