So I can hope, that 10.4.11 could solve the problem. Hopefully it
comes out soon.

Next time I reboot, I will run the permission check from the boot DVD.

Here they are:

The application "Palm Desktop Background" could not be launched
because of a shared library error: ":<Palm Desktop
Background><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_OSServices><>"

The application "Transport Monitor" could not be launched because of
a shared library error: "4<Transport
Monitor><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_OSServices><>"

The application "(null)" could not be launched because of a shared
library error: "4<HP Communications><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_OSServices><>"

The application "E-Reg" could not be launched because of a shared
library error: "2<PowerReg Carbon><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_OSServices><>"

Thanks for all the hints!

Regards
Phil
