Binding LDAP directory, and mailing lists

Just got a couple of questions.

First of all.  I recently redid my local server with a clean install of
10.4.10 of Mac OX server and client.  The client is also of that generation.
The problem is the one client a duo iMac will not bind successfully to the
directory even though it says it did.  It did prior to the reinstall
however.  I know the server and the account is set up properly as the
network home directory, and log in works on another machine in the network,
but not the new iMac  any ideas.

Secondly.  I can't seem to get the mailing lists to work on 10.4.10 server.
I can enable the service, but every time I try to create a new list, it
reverts back to a black listing.  I think I need to hand edit the config
file, but can't remember which one and what needs to be changed
