Look under ~/Library/Preferences/ for iDVD related preference files
(likely "com.apple.iDVD" or something like that). Then move those
files to the desktop or trash. Then try launching iDVD again.

If you still have problems make sure to look at the console log for
any clues on what could be going wrong (not knowing what you exactly
mean by "crash").
