I have stared for hours at that little keyboard looking for that
character, so I was surprised that I hadn't seen it. Since I work in
multiple languages I keep the international menu available. I quickly
switched to an editor, and tried option-v... no joy. Option-shift-V,
no joy. Different font. No joy.... But then I knew it wouldn't
work...Option-V is a dead key that I use to insert the háček over
certain letters. (similar to option-e which is a dead key for
inserting acute accents over vowels, the háček is that character
over the letter c in the word háček)
Then it hit me. Because I also have to type lot's of diacritics, I
use the US-International keyboard. I switched to the "regular" US
keyboard and option-V works. I haven't used the regular US keyboard
in a VERY long time. I'll have to toggle back and forth.
Thanks.
