This is perhaps not a purely OSX administrative question, though it =20
has to do with "student" administration on a Mac...

I need to be able to type the radical characer regularly : =C3

Lots of fonts have this character, but I can't for the life of me =20
find a way to type it without opening the character palette.

I need to use the radical sign (=C3) as a checkmark (note there is a =20=

"real" checkmark character in a number of typefaces, but I can't use =20
that for cross platform reasons. I can't even rely on copy and paste =20
because the software in question (Jackson Software's GradeQuick 11) =20
doesn't support copy and paste of data in the student gradebooks =20
(unbelievable, I know). I have to be able to type the character (or, =20
as I have been doing, use the Character palette).

Anyone know of any secret keyboard gymastics that will allow me to =20
type the radical: =C3
